Lost in Plovdiv

Although it is much slower in terms of events compared to the past month, July offers quite interesting alternatives to replace the traditional meetings with friends for coffee or a drink.

For several years now, two festivals have been held in Plovdiv, which offer residents and guests under the hills the opportunity to enjoy popular films and entertaining theater productions in open spaces throughout the city, absolutely free of charge.

The festival Turn on the neighborhood - Theater in the Park once again revives favorite Plovdiv parks and delights theater lovers during the summer months. For the sixth year in a row, the park spaces of the regions are transformed into an open-air theater stage, where Plovdiv residents can enjoy the performances "All About Men", "Until Death Do Us Part" and "Hard to Love". The idea of ​​the event is to promote drama. Theater evenings are organized open to all people, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, education or interests.

The places are: Trakia Region – 2019 Park next to Lidl, Western Region - the park next to Bratska Mogila, Central Region - Aqueduct on Bunardzhika Hill, Southern Region - Belite Brezi Park, Central Region – City Park, Southern Region - Komatevo district (in front of the chitalishte), Western Region - Ruzha Park, Eastern Region - Kamenitsa 2 Park and Northern Region - Ribnitsa Park.

The other option is to enjoy "Cinema under the stars", which is returning to Plovdiv for the fourth year in a row. Popular outdoor spaces have also been selected for locations, with screenings of feature films always preceded by selected shorts. Titles include films from Bulgarian and world cinema on a huge 12 x 7 m screen, with brilliant quality and professional sound.
