There are only two days left until the winter break and children are already anticipating the carefree hours without school and annoying homework. However, this time is a real challenge for parents who need to think of thousands of fun activities. Well, the good news is that the team of the only digital guide under the hills is now ready with 3 ideas for an unforgettable experience. We have suggestions for both outdoor and indoor activities when the weather doesn’t allow you to be outside for a long time. We guarantee that neither you nor the kids will be bored.
The ice rink
The facility is back this year with a new location and we are again happy to have the largest outdoor ice skating rink in Plovdiv. In the 2019/2020 season, skate rent is 3 BGN, and the entrance to the rink in one session remains 7 BGN. It works every day, and the opening hours are from 10am to 10pm. There are 5 sessions during the day, the first and the last two being two hours and the intermediate three sessions are one and a half hours. The penguins for the little ones who are still learning to skate can be rented for 40 minutes at a price of 10 BGN. Especially on days suitable for virtuoso performances, there are big crowds, so be patient. There are instructors available over the weekends to give beginners free lessons. And for the most avid, there are subscription cards that can be used until the slide closes. So far, it is scheduled to be in place by the end of January.
Indoor skate park
Over the weekend, in the City under the hills, they also opened a great skate kingdom. The complex is located in a warehouse near the Glassworks and covers an area of 380 square meters. Fans of extreme sports have at their disposal nearly 15 devices, suitable for all kinds of tricks with BMX, skates, skateboard and scooters. The ambition of the creators is to provide an alternative urban environment, comfortable and safe for all year round. They believe that the new base can host major international and national competitions and that it will help develop young athletes.
Painting for children
Our lastsuggestion is at one of our favorite places to relax - DaliVino. Here, however, the art session will not be accompanied by a glass of chardonnay, but rather a bottle of mineral water and juice. Each weekend, young artists are given a special time to work under the guidance of a professional artist. This is the perfect time to let your child spend an hour and a half or two having fun with a brush in their hand while you take a stroll or have coffee. Be sure to check the calendar for paintings by the end of December, and even during the holidays you can go to some of the big sessions together. Some of the landscapes are not that difficult and you can easily create them in tandem.
