September and October will be filled with concerts by Bulgarian performers beloved by several generations, along with intriguing performances

One of the best seasons to visit the city under the hills is undoubtedly autumn, when the heat has loosened its tight embrace and you can finally breathe here!

When the nights grow a little longer and the mornings become slightly cool – that’s the perfect time to enjoy all the opportunities for rest and entertainment. And there’s nothing more magical than an open-air performance in a place where spectacles have been held for thousands of years.

The Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis is among the best-preserved ancient theatres in the world. With its 28 concentric rows of seats, interesting inscriptions, and beautiful statues, it captivates every eye and carries the spirit of Ancient Rome. Thanks to the theatre’s unique architecture, the acoustics are exceptional—so, if you have the chance, don’t miss a performance.

In one of our previous articles, you could see the summer 2025 program, but today we reveal what to expect in September and October at one of the most beautiful open-air stages in the city under the hills.
