Ecstatic Dance ep. 3

Why Ecstatic?

Our moto as a group is “Changing ourselves to change the world”. We believe Ecstatic dance is a way to explore, experience and expand yourself while embarking on a shared journey to the mystery of presence.

Ecstatic Dance is a conscious way of getting into a deeper connection with the Soul and the Spirit within. We dance to look within, not to be looked at or to observe others. We devote our dancing to ourselves, to the sacred connection between Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit.

What helps us on the way is, of course, music. We dance to electronic music that is specially selected and mixed to take us on the journey of rhythm, melody, and beat.

What keeps us safe are our ground rules:
1. We dance without speaking.
2. We dance barefoot to feel the connection.
3. We take no drugs, opiates or alcohol before and during the dance session.

After the dancing session, we will be indulged to listen to live music performed especially for us to get us grounded. The event will be closed by a moment of sharing and connection.

All you need to do to become a part of it is follow the registration link and get registered - the event has a limit of 50 guests.

You can get comfy in some clothes fit for dancing on the spot - there will be two dressing rooms that we can use. Water will be provided.

MOON by Théâtre de la Massue

The French theatre company Théâtre de la Massue - Cie Ezequiel Garcia Romeu and Ezequiel Garcia-Romeu are coming again in April to present their puppet shows - ''Moon'' and ''The Scriptographer''

The project is part of the programme of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019

Concept, arrangement, stage design, performance management: Ezequiel Garcia-Romeu.

The puppet show "Moon" is a short series between the fantastic and the symbolic "a la Goya", inhabited by unimaginable beings. In this allegory, puppets and heroes will represent the mysterious reflection of our minds. The moon is watching over its creatures. Often, under the shelter of our homes and far from nature, we forget that clay monsters rise up to torment our consciousness. Who oversees them, who leads them? Who rules over them? Is it the Moon? This is what we'll be trying to work out in the fogged meanderings of this amusing theatre.

Dependent on the Universe

Dependent on the Universe is the second exhibition of Anelia Raykova in Labyrinth Gallery. She is inspired by Leonardo's thought: "One does not know what he can. He must try." In 2019, we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Renaissance genius. With a wink to it, and with the sense of our mutual connection with each other and with the whole universe, we’ll again enjoy her fine painting.

Friends of Labyrinth Gallery remembered well her first exhibition in March 2018. This time we will see fine canvases and paintings, a delicate blending of abstract spaces with specific symbolic images that turn the paintings into poetry.

Scriptographer by Théâtre de la Massue

Scriptographer is an atelier-spectacle about writing through the visual. On the table, we will find a roll of paper from China or Arabia or other exotic and distant countries. Driven by creative magic, the roll will present us a subterranean world from which a manipulator crawls to place traps in the middle of the table. The authors and playwrights will build on their writings inspired by the Hades motif. What will be the end of all this? First, a glass of wine for these masters of signs, and then - we will hear each text of each of them because the language of the writers works to decode.

The concert of Demikhov and Feedbacker is a pleasure unlike anything else at this stage. A performance with music for silent evenings, long ways and huge expansions.

Swingin' Thursdays in April

Thursdays don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!

Gingertale is the place where local swing mafiosos go. Every Thursday evening Kapana pulses under their dances and even the pavers move under the sound of jazz.

A mysterious mixed drink can be found at the bar, which can inspire every passer-by to try another drink and why not dance!
