Exhibition of Lekarski, Manev, and Oshavkov
The City Art Gallery presents for the first time in Bulgaria Andrey Lekarsky, Nikola Manev, and Lachezar Oshavkov in the joint exhibition Three Parisians in Plovdiv.
They are among the most famous Bulgarian artists who have lived and worked in Paris, France for the last half-century, drawing inspiration from the rich culture of the two countries.
Lekarski, Manev, and Oshavkov are very well known in the French artistic circles, as well as among lovers and researchers of the fine arts in our country. Although each of the artists has separate appearances in Bulgaria, the three have not been presented together in our country so far. This happened for the first time this spring in Paris, where their works were exhibited simultaneously at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute. At the opening of the exhibition were presented the books The Captive of the Light for Nikola Manev by Elka Niagolova and Valeriy Posthanov, Andrey Lekarski, by Axinia Dzhurova and the autobiographical Lachezar Oshavkov in French.
