Mira Katsarova presents Summer in Paris

In April Mira Katsarova presented her latest concert program, April in Paris, dedicated to French music and culture. It is inspired by the subtlety of chanson, the beautiful and melodic phonetics of French, the elegant, poetic love of the lyrics of the songs. The program includes songs from the classical repertoire of Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Joe Dassin, Michel Legrand. Also included are more recent compositions such as Sting's La belle dame sans regrets and the unexpected song Je bois systématiquement written by the French writer and bohemian Boris Vian. And the famous instrumental work of Oblivian by Astor Piazzolla has been turned into a song by the singer's text and with a recitative in French - one of her favorite poems by Paul Verlaine Il pleure sur la ville.

In July, the jazz lady recruits her trio by inviting a string quartet of beautiful and talented girls who discreetly emphasize the classiness of the arrangement. They are made by Miroslav Turiyski, who plays the piano alongside Mira, and Veselin Veselinov Eco and Hristo Yotsov are also beside them. This time the program bears the eloquent name Summer in Paris as a paraphrase of the name of the main composition. All of them will make five romantic concerts on scenes that traditionally present Mira Katsarova's concert programs, and they are different and thematic each year.
