The Youth Underground Theater "Lumen" closes the season

It is time for a closing season party of the Underground Youth Theater School "LUMEN". Young prospective actors need support, audience, and company for one drink.

From 16:00 you can enjoy an open lesson and a show of "uninterrupted" stages - the work of the theater school.

And from 18:00 we will "let go of the end" with the mood for the upcoming summer vacation.

Residence Baba Residence 2018 gathers us with questions in Plovdiv :)

What are the possibilities to combine (or completely replace) our life in the city with the one in the village?

What do young people need in a village to live in it? What do they need in order to have the conditions to develop their potential and not to "drop out" from the technological and cultural innovations that take place in the cities? How can young urban people help local villagers and vice versa?

What would you need to live in a village?

The project is part of the program of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019 /Plovdiv 2019 ECOC

Caspian Art Wave Exhibition

Azerbaijan does not cover only the former Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan, which has been independent since 1991, but also the Azerbaijani provinces in northwestern Iran. They are sharing with some other countries as well the largest lake on earth, the Caspian Sea. In "Caspian Art Wave" both parts of Azerbaijan are united by the artists Ebrahim Ehrari from Urmia, province Azerbaijan, Iran and Günay Shamsi from Baku, Azerbaijan. Two different generations meet are harmoniously combined in one picture. 
In their artworks, the mainly symbolist Ebrahim Ehrari and the now focused pop surrealist Günay Shamsi take the viewer on a fantastic journey through the Azerbaijani culture and with their wave they touch oriental motifs, nature, landscapes, people, society, often with immense color and space for interpretations.

Giselle

Premiere performance of the international ballet troupe of Opera Plovdiv with dancers from over 10 countries. Premiere soloists of the Croatian National Theater - Guillermo Gameiro Alves and Iva Vitich. Giselle is a ballet in two acts by the French composer Adolph Adam on the libraries of Theophil Gautier, Jean Coral and Jules-Henri Saint-Georges and choreography by Jean Coral and Jules Perro, later edited by Marius Pettypa (1884).

The story is inspired by a work by Heinrich Heine and is considered an apotheosis of romantic ballet.
