Concert "The Songs of Puccini", soloist: Ivaylo Mihaylov
On February 1, the foyer of the Regional Administration - Plovdiv will become the new Chamber Hall in the city under the hills. The first concert, which will start a rich program of cultural events, will gather Puccini fans to enjoy a favorite and proven creative tandem - the tenor Ivaylo Mihaylov and the pianist Maria Kaloferova. The concert will present the Puccini Songs cycle and the compositions included in this title will in themselves surprise all of the composer's fans because they are little known and only became public in 1987 when one of the greatest researchers of Puccini's work - Michael Kay published them. Ivaylo Mihaylov will present songs for voice and piano that are not closely related to the theater but are meant for connoisseurs who enjoy the art of more serious music.
