Contemporary Bulgarian Photography Exhibition
After the success of the traveling exhibition Contemporary Bulgarian Photography in Sofia and Varna, Plovdiv will host its third showing to the Bulgarian audience. The visitors will be able to see photographs of 43 of the best native photographers among which are the Reuters’ reporter Stoyan Nenov – thie first Bulgarian winner of the Pulitzer Prize in the Breaking News Photography category, Martin Chichov – winner of the prestigious prize of Nikon for the action photograph from the middle of the nineties showing the emerging skate and street culture in Bulgaria, Nadezhda Pavlova - awarded with a prize by the International Olympic Committee for her photo on the peak of Todorka, the portrait of Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha captured by Georgi Bogdanov, and Boris Misirkov, who’s received the special prize of the jury, Grand prix de la découverte in Paris, and many others.

NIGHT Plovdiv 2017
The longest Night of Plovdiv returns this September for its thirteenth consecutive edition, but for the first time in three evenings - 15, 16, 17 September. Launched as "Night of Museums and Galleries" in 2005 as an initiative of Vesselina and Katrin Sarievi, today the event gathers numerous local, national and international art projects that enrich the cultural map of Plovdiv each September. In recent years, the audience of the festival is between 40 and 60 thousand people, with over 120 artistic projects located in more than 70 places in the city. A special highlight in NIGHT/Plovdiv, 2017 will be the "Open Arts" program with the slogan HERE EVERYWHERE, curated by Vladiya Mihaylova. The organizers, in partnership with some of the most active international cultural institutes and embassies, will present a special selection of artistic projects from Austria, France, Israel, USA, Finland, Spain, Korea and Bulgaria.
