FLUCA presents Know-How Show-How

The Know-How Show-How platform organizes summer workshops for creative thinking and design processes since 2015, involving Bulgarian and International participants and professionals. In 2018 starts the Plovdiv project of the platform: Found in Kichuka, which researches the left-over materials from production in the Kichuk Paris neighborhood and trough design realizes their use in the local environment. The project is part of the program of Plovdiv- European Capital of Culture 2019 and will be presented by the founder of the creative platform Dima Stefanova, a communication designer, based in Amsterdam.

Jazz Roots Party | Rhythm Raccoons

This Saturday, there’ll once again be authentic swing jazz on the dance floor of Bee Bop Café. We’ll enjoy quality dance music carefully selected by Bogdan Kovachev, and special performances prepared by the students of Rhythm RACCOONS. The dance will start on Jazz Roots Special, where Miroslav Mironov will inspire us with new solo movements and improvisations. We recommend wearing authentic vintage clothes.

On Saturday, a guest at Bally Club will be DJ ILL-Q, who has a series of successful parties behind him, playing on the music club scene with some of the best names in the industry. He strives to provoke positive feelings in the audience with his dynamic and groovy live set, where you can often hear vocal acapellas, percussions, and massive bass.

Crave - Balkan Dance project 2019 in Plovdiv

A dance performance for the insatiable "hunger" that can never be quenched; about desire and its many forms, the crave to achieve, the need to earn, to be the first, to know, to be able to crush, to break, to possess, to abuse, to say NO. For the attention I'm so craving for. A dance performance NOT for sensual pleasures, aspirations, objects of desire; NOT for the need for enlightenment, the quest, the ideal; NOT the essence of craving, the state of spirit and soul, the body, or more than that.

Young professionals in contemporary dance from Slovenia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, Croatia and Bulgaria will present for the first time in Bulgaria the Balkans dance platform - Balkan Dance Project.

Within three rehearsal periods since the beginning of the year, the international artistic team managed to synchronize their feelings and ideas. Thus, through movement, dance, music, sensory and intimate work, dancers explored the nature of craving and the cycle of desire and the suffering that comes from all this under the direction of choreographer Stefania Georgieva.
