Voodooo People vol. 3 (rave party)
"Voodooo People" is a theme electronic party inspired by the music of The Prodigy, Orbital, Leftfield, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Joey Beltram, The Crystal Method, Fluke, Richie Hawtin and many other notable electronic artists of the 1990s and 2000s. The previous two editions were visited by over 300 people.

Maria Joao & Mario Laginha | Linda May Han Oh @PlovdivJazzFest
Maria Joao makes a name for herself with impressive vocal flexibility, which she often uses to blend folk, avant-garde, and electronica, turning her concerts into a true vocal spectacle. Throughout her long and fascinating career, Maria Joao has so far recorded 23 albums.
She also has had collaborations with Aki Takase, Bobby McFerrin, David Linx, Gilberto Gil, Dino Saluzzi and many others. She has participated in the most prestigious European and world jazz festivals, received numerous awards, and today she stands as an icon of improvisational jazz, as well as being regarded among the best performers in the world. One could say Maria Joao sings like few could or would dare to.
Maria Joao and Mario Laginha have worked together for over two decades.
In their projects jazz acts as a foundation, but they also exhibit a marked interest to various musical traditions from African, Brazilian and Indian, through pop and rock, to classical music and, of course, traditional Portuguese music. The duet participates in the most important jazz festivals in the world, such as Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, San Sebastian Jazz Festival, and the Montreal Jazz Festival.
Linda May Han Oh is a bassist, double bassist, and composer. She lives and works in New York. In the last 10 years, Linda May Han Oh has become one of the most established and sought after bassists of her generation. She is a part of Pat Metheny Quartet and has also played in the bands of Dave Douglas and Joe Lovano. Besides recording and touring, Oh teaches in the Manhattan School of Music and presents series of masterclasses and courses around the USA. She also composes for film and various ensembles. Linda May Han Oh is a recipient of many awards, some of which for her latest album, which came out just a few months ago. Wallstreet Journal writes about her, “Her innovative range and stellar improvisations have made Ms. Oh, one of the most dynamic rising stars in jazz today”. In Plovdiv, she arrives with her quartet.
