The alley with the blooming rose trees seems to transport us directly to Japan, without the need to change continents

We have all marveled at the incredible shots from the land of the rising sun, in which spring paints gorgeous pink pictures against the backdrop of the famous Japanese cherry trees (sakura). They are an emblematic symbol of the country, with an impressive display, naturally located along rivers, temples, parks and city streets, and thousands of tourists flock there between the end of March and May to immortalize the perfect shot.

And what would you say if we revealed to you that you don’t need to plan long trips and that in Plovdiv we also have a similar place, no less pink and just as impressive in the urban atmosphere under the hills.

The flower alley is located behind the former Aqualand complex, near Lauta Park and block 259, and is currently like a flower tunnel in the heart of the neighborhood. The trees there are of the red-leaved plum (Prinus nigra) variety and quite resemble the colors of the sakura.

The space was designed at the initiative of the municipality years ago, and the result is a nearly 425-meter-long and 3.50-meter-wide colorful path that attracts not only the residents of the city and the neighborhood, but absolutely every passerby with its magnificence.

The perfect location for a walk and a natural backdrop for photos!
