In the middle of last month, the results of the first ranking for the 2024/2025 academic year for admission to kindergartens and another ongoing one for admission to nurseries in Plovdiv were published.
2,197 vacancies were announced for it, and 2,522 children born in 2021 took part. They will attend kindergarten from September 15 in the first age group. The data shows that 2,033 children are already on the placement lists for one of up to five childcare facilities declared by parents, with most of them being first-preference placements. After the first stage of enrollment, 1,010 vacant places have been announced for the upcoming second ranking for admission at the beginning of June 2024.
And although for a large part of the children in the city under the hills, there are places in childcare facilities, there are still parents who prefer private facilities, where traditionally the groups are smaller and because of this the kids can get more personal attention.
