Our recommendation when you are looking for something budget-friendly and unpretentious for lunch or an early dinner

Restaurant prices in the city under the hills have now officially reached those of establishments in major European capitals, and unfortunately, the trend isn’t likely to reverse.

One Shopska salad costs around 15 leva, while more interesting or gourmet starter variations go for around 20 leva – and that’s just to start with. Of course, we all love well-prepared food and the experience that a fine dining evening can bring, but sometimes we just want something affordable — especially for lunch!

If you ask us for a budget-friendly restaurant in Kapana or in the very center of Plovdiv, we might struggle to give you a suggestion. However, if you're after something simple yet tasty, either to grab on the go or take home, we unanimously agree that “Adisa” is a must-stop!

"Adisa" is probably one of the first restaurants of this kind. They opened their first location over ten years ago to meet the demand for ready-made food of good quality and appearance at a low price. Over the years, several more ready-to-go food stores have opened. Each one has its own kitchen and production with a diverse assortment of food (salads, appetizers, quick meals, cooked dishes, grilled items, desserts). Each day, more than 100 types of dishes are offered in these types of stores.

Their location is on one of the side streets off the Small Main Street, and around lunchtime, there are always people queuing, wanting something tasty, and reasonably priced.

If you’re not able or don’t have the time to prepare lunch or dinner for your guests, you can choose from their dishes and even put together a complete menu by ordering catering for the day.

“Adisa” is always a convenient option when you're in the city center — especially for those working nearby who often enjoy their offerings.
