The ancient theater in Plovdiv is among the best-preserved ancient theaters in the world, and watching a performance on its stage is a real feast for the senses. The setting, the acoustics, the magic of the city and its specific architecture turn each performance into a spectacular event that fills you with pride to have been a part of this fairy tale.
Whether you are a tourist or a local, you should definitely buy a ticket for a preferred performance or concert on a convenient day and time. There are three ticket offices available in Plovdiv: Ticket Center in front of Plovdiv Municipality at Stefan Stambolov Square, Tourist Information Center at 1 Raiko Daskalov St. (next to the Roman Stadium) and Ancient Theater at 2A Tsar Ivaylo St. In them you can find detailed information about all the events of the city's cultural calendar, flyers and brochures and buy tickets for everything that is coming up in Plovdiv. Of course, online, in the Eventim network, there is also access to seats selection and different price categories.
And if we had to recommend one of these events, it would be one of the performances of the Opera Open festival. This year it opens on 20th June with a visual spectacle in which audience and artists change places, and architecture, light, vision and sound merge into one!
