On Monday, precisely at 4 PM, the "Ice Park" was inaugurated for the first time under the hills of Plovdiv with a grand ice show at the Central Square, and it quickly became a gathering point for all skating and ice enthusiasts, as it does every year.
The park covers an area of 5000 sq. meters, with 2500 sq. meters dedicated to the ice rink, including a large main rink and ice alleys. It offers over 1500 pairs of skates in various sizes. Instructors ensure the safety of the people on the rink and provide beginner lessons. For young beginners, "Ice Park" offers a sufficient number of skate aids to help them.
Besides offering excellent skating conditions, "Ice Park" Plovdiv provides many other entertainment options. A mini Christmas market surrounds the rink, featuring traditional Viennese food and drinks, as well as a dedicated area for presentations, ice shows, and various events.
This year we are promised many new light and visual surprises, transforming "Ice Park" into a magical experience.
The park operates from 11 AM to 10 PM daily, with skating sessions divided into two-hour intervals. The entrance ticket costs 20 leva, and skate rentals are 4 leva. There is also an option to hire an instructor or purchase a package of 12 sessions. Training aids for children are available at 15 leva for 50 minutes. An online ticketing system is expected to launch soon, reducing waiting times.
With such a winter attraction, Plovdiv rivals major European cities like Vienna, Brussels, Paris, Prague, and London. As every year, the ice rink attracts not only the residents of the city under the hills but also tourists and visitors from nearby towns.
