A major part of Plovdiv's charm is the fact that it is so close to almost everything beautiful - the mountains, the mineral springs and the sea.

We continue in the new year with our fun series, in which we ask foreigners who have chosen the city under the hills as their home, for their favorite places. Today "under the spotlight" is the smiling Dominique, who you can meet in our latest discovery - the pizza truck La fourchette. Of course, as we wrote in the previous article - he doesn’t speak Bulgarian well, and our team has no special knowledge of French, so we received the answers with the help of his wife - Vesela. In our first conversation he shared that he likes Plovdiv very much and would replace it only for the sea in the summer. And if you want to practice your French, be sure to visit him on the spot, because you can't help but be charged with positive emotions and leave with a full stomach!

And here is where they both like to relax in the moments when they are not busy creating delicacies:

When friends visit Plovdiv for the first time we go to... Vino Culture, the Main Street, the Old Town

When it’s party time we go to... Vino Culture

The most underrated place in Plovdiv is... The Rowing Channel deserves more attention a holistic approach to outdoor entertainment.

One place in Plovdiv that always wows people is... The Old Town

For a delicious food we usually go to... Le petit Paris (if we manage to leave Vino Culture and their tapas)

The coolest place in town is... Vino Culture

My alternative route in Plovdiv is… We don't have an alternative route because we don't have a routine. We also like to leave Plovdiv often. A major part of Plovdiv's charm is the fact that it is so close to almost everything beautiful - the mountains, the mineral springs and the sea.

My least favorite thing in Plovdiv… Poorly maintained sidewalks.
