In a world where screens often replace movement, Plovdiv sports clubs are becoming places where children can enjoy sports, and parents are finding a new way to be a part of their growth. We present to you five clubs that prove that sports can be both a game and a lesson for life.
TERES Gym & Fight Club
TERES Gym & Fight Club is a sports center with over ten years of history, a licensed member of the Bulgarian Kickboxing and Muay Thai Confederation. Hundreds of children train daily in disciplines such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing, where through sports and games not only physical skills are developed, but also self-discipline, confidence and the ability to defend themselves.
Parents are also welcome, because while the children are training, mothers and fathers can join in parallel functional training, which turns sports into a common family activity. The hall has over 400 sq.m. of modernly equipped area, and the panoramic cafe offers a cozy place from where parents can observe the training.
Handball Academy "Aladzhov"
Handball Academy "Aladzhov" in Plovdiv is a school with a mission to foster character, discipline and a love of sport. Here, children from 6 to 14 years old train in a positive atmosphere, where handball begins as a game and becomes a path to personal development. The academy is distinguished by its innovative approach - individual training cards, a ten-level system for progress and active participation of parents. With its free training and events such as the friendly match "parents vs. children", the club builds a real community in which sport is joy and inspiration.
Fencing Academy Plovdiv
Fencing Academy Plovdiv is a place where children discover the nobility of sport and the art of winning with finesse. Founded in 2024, the academy offers sabre and foil training for children, teenagers and adults, led by young and inspired coaches.
Here, fencing is not just a competition, but a way to build concentration, self-discipline and respect for the opponent. The atmosphere is friendly and motivating, and parents can also be active partners in the process.
DS Magnifique
DS Magnifique is a dance studio with over ten years of history, which develops the talent of children (and parents) through classical ballet, modern dance and Latin rhythms.
The team is young and inspired, led by the teacher and choreographer Nora Marshaha, who builds an environment for creative growth, confidence and stage presence.
The approach is family-friendly: students have the opportunity to start from an early age, to develop in groups with an individual approach, and parents are also welcome. The studio is distinguished by artistic performances, gala evenings and active social activities - thus dance becomes not just an exercise, but an experience that enriches the character and culture of children.
Maritsa Volleyball Club
Maritsa Volleyball Club Plovdiv was founded in 1950 and over the years has become one of the most successful volleyball schools in Bulgaria. Maritsa is the first club in history to win all possible national titles in one season. The club's teams triumph as champions of Bulgaria in women's, senior girls (up to 20 years), junior girls (up to 18 years), girls up to 16 years and girls up to 14 years. and for children the club offers an environment in which not only volleyball skills are developed, but also character, team spirit and love for the sport are nurtured.
