Excellent location, luxurious surroundings, first-class restaurants, champagne bar, wellness centers and even bits of history - these are just a few of the advantages of the newly opened places under the hills

After the last two years in a pandemic, when tourism was rather hesitant, in 2022 everything seems to have turned into full speed and quite a few projects have been completed. Perhaps, that is why it’s not surprising that within less than 6 months Plovdiv has acquired three completely new places for accommodation of the highest class. Excellent location, luxurious surroundings, first class restaurants, champagne bar, wellness centers and even bits of history. These are just a few of the advantages of the newly opened hotels under the hills, which will attract more and more tourists to our city.

Double Tree by Hilton

The first Double Tree by Hilton hotel in Plovdiv opened its doors in Plovdiv just a few days ago. The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the Sveta Petka Church on Maria Luisa Blvd. - between the Great and Small Basilicas. Old Plovdiv is less than a 5-minute walk away, and the management promises that guests will always receive the award-winning hospitality characteristic of the brand's properties and a truly unforgettable experience in the heart of the city under the hills.

The hotel has a total of 162 rooms, as well as various conference facilities, sports and wellness services, as well as a modern Italian restaurant, Il Monte.

Prices vary from BGN 137 for a double room without breakfast to BGN 275 for the same room with breakfast and dinner included during the summer period. There are also rooms with a view, superior, deluxe, family rooms and suites.

The Emporium Plovdiv – Mgallery

The iconic Evmolpia store came to life again under 5 stars. The Accor hotel group officially opened its first smart hotel in the Balkans last week - The Emporium Plovdiv - Mgallery.

The entrance to the hotel reception is located in the former DIY store. There is a champagne & cocktail bar in there somewhere, and the investors declare that the rooms are "smart" because they have innovative features - they allow guests to control the lighting, curtains, audio-visual functions, as well as the overall atmosphere. The 5-star hotel has 61 individually designed rooms as well as 12 suites. Part of the hotel will also be the Torro Premio gourmet restaurant, where talented chefs combine the best local products and original cuisine to provide an incomparable interpretation of modern Bulgarian cuisine. Relaxation and fitness areas are also available for guests' convenience, helping guests keep body and soul in balance.

For an overnight stay, you need to prepare from BGN 262 for a double superior room without breakfast and with a non-refundable value up to BGN 364 with breakfast included and the possibility of cancellation. There are also junior suites with and without a balcony.

Vizualiza Residence Hotel

Today's Hotel Vizualiza is like a representation of the Central part of the city - it can be seen from almost every higher point in the city, as well as from the Main street of Plovdiv. That is why it is so important that the restoration of the old tobacco factory was done with respect and regard for the authenticity of the building, as well as to the whole environment.

The view from the place is impressive, and its location above the city center at the foot of the hill is the perfect combination between a central location and silence among the hustle and bustle of Plovdiv. It has more than 40 rooms for accommodation in different categories, in which every detail is tailored to the specificity of the building and carefully selected to preserve the spirit of the building. The beautiful metal railings are made in the likeness of the old ones by experienced master blacksmiths, and some elements of the interior are made directly by hand and on site, so that not a bit of their original vision is lost. The overall feeling, when you enter Vizualiza right from the lobby, is of a refined and unobtrusive style, in which it seems that all noises and worries from the outside disappear, and the eye smoothly absorbs over 50 unique paintings by world and Bulgarian authors, skillfully and discreetly woven into the place’s interior.

Guests can relax in the wellness center or enjoy a unique fine dining concept in the refined Valere restaurant, which offers highlights from around the world in a superior form of performance and is already making a serious promise to become the most delicious place under the hills for connoisseurs of the gourmet cuisine.

Prices for the summer season vary from BGN 320 for a deluxe double room with breakfast included to BGN 600 for an apartment.
