The smell of the pastry treats is simply irresistible, and we advise you not to miss to visit them today

Some time ago we prepared for you an article with recommendations on where you can find the most delicious bread under the hills, but with this text we focus on a few more types of our favorite pastry specialties under the hills, as well as places to eat them.

El Greco

The Greek coffee-bakery opened its doors in the midst of the pandemic in a space where there was a cult pub from 1930. After easing the measures, the establishment quickly gained popularity among the people of Plovdiv and today it is usually always full of customers, wondering what exactly to try from the aromatic offers.

For lovers of salty temptations and those who need something more solid for lunch, we recommend the sandwich with omelet, and for fans of sweets – we can tell you that whatever you choose, you won’t go wrong. The orange pita really melts in your mouth, but each piece of cake is worth the extra hours in the gym.

Tart Bakery

Although a little off our usual route through the center, Tart Bakery is worth going a little sideways to Kuchuk Paris and enjoy the freshly baked dough creations. From the salty offers we are fans of the fluffy croissant with ham and gauda, and from the sweet ones - of the donut with homemade chocolate ganache with Belgian milk chocolate.

Tasty, soft and melting in the mouth - taking a few minutes to eat when you're around is a must!

Brioche Bakery

The pastry bakery is one of our latest discoveries and after we’ve tried some of the delicacies they prepare, we can't wait for more.

As of Friday, they already offer seasonal temptations, and our recommendation is for their sandwich with croissant and mozzarella and a something of choice from the sweet croissant waffles with different toppings. In the summer we were absolute fans of those with berries, and now we can't wait to find out what else they have prepared for us.
